Der er drama hos Demokraterne, der ikke ved, hvorledes de kommer ud af deres suppedas, som er at have indsat en olding i frit kognitivt forfald, der som sin vicepræsident har valgt en sort kvinde fordi hun er sot og kvinde. Desperat forsøger Demokrater at drømme om deux ex machina, hvor Clinton og Obama vil finde en løsning og indsætte Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey eller en anden sort kvinde, da ingen hvid erstatning nu er mulig og slet ikke en mand.

“Biden’s steady decline the past few years — his stumbles, his search for words, his occasional blank stare — has been impossible to ignore.” skrev Washington Post forleden, før de spekulerede i, hvorledes man vendte kajakken. Men det er ikke ‘the past few years’ at det er gået nedad bakke for Bidens hjerne. Og de vidste det, som de var manisk optagede af, at beskrive Trump som skingrende vanvittig. Dengang var den 25. The removal of Trump using the Twenty-fifth Amendment is the aim of a newly launched social movement composed of mental-health professionals. The group, called Duty to Warn, claims that Donald Trump “suffers from an incurable malignant narcissism that makes him incapable of carrying out his presidential duties and poses a danger to the nation.” On Saturday, the organization held coördinated kickoff events in fourteen cities, where mental-health experts spoke out about Trump’s dangerousness and, in several, took to the streets in organized funereal marches, complete with drum corps.

Earlier this year, in response to members’ questions and discontent about the Goldwater Rule’s application with respect to Trump, the A.P.A. debated the issue and announced that not just diagnoses but any “opinion about the affect, behavior, speech, or other presentation of an individual that draws on the skills, training, expertise, and/or knowledge inherent in the practice of psychiatry” was off limits.

Why cling to—and even expand—the rule in the age of Trump? A growing number of those affiliated with Duty to Warn believe that the Goldwater Rule, which is touted as an ethical rule to protect patients, really serves to protect the guild, even where it conflicts with society’s interests. The psychiatrist John Zinner, a participant in the Duty to Warn movement, thinks the rule is “utterly disingenuous.” He told me of a meeting he attended in March of the Washington Psychiatric Society, where a “high official” of the A.P.A. defended keeping the Goldwater Rule in place, on the theory that if psychiatrists spoke out against Trump the government would retaliate by reducing reimbursements to doctors for psychiatric treatment. “It was really not out of ethical concern,” Zinner said, but, rather, concern for “our pocketbooks.”

Speaking to CNN afterward, she said, “Lawmakers were saying they have been very concerned about this, the President’s dangerousness, the dangers that his mental instability poses on the nation. They know the concern is universal among Democrats, but it really depends on Republicans, they said. Some knew of Republicans that were concerned, maybe equally concerned, but whether they would act on those concerns was their worry.” There was one Republican senator among the group whom she would not name. Corker, maybe Flake?

Da Kongressens Forkvinde, Demokraten Nancy Pelosi en måned før valget 2020 ville diskutere 25. Tilføjelse, gik de fleste, også jeg, umiddelbart ud fra, at hun sigtede på Trump, der havde været igennem et behandlingsforløb for Covid19 og på medikamenter, der kan manipulere med temperamentet. Crazy Nancy Pelosi is looking at the 25th Amendment in order to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris. The Dems want that to happen fast because Sleepy Joe is out of it!!!

Bidens sprog falder stadig fra hinanden, selv på spørgsmål, som hans folk selv har givet journalisterne. En en kvindelig sort radiovært, der afslørede at hun fik spørgsmålene fra Det Hvide Hus, blev fyret for at have undermineret radiostationens integritet. På spørgsmålet, som værten stille Biden, forsøgte han at prale med at han havde ansat den første sorte kvinde som vicepræsident, men kludrede i sproget og kaldt sig selv for den første sorte kvinde. Og så blev den sorte kvindelige radiovært altså fyret. Biden er, med Kejsergudens ord, en gammel sammenfalden bunke lort!
