Efter debatten med Donald Trump var Kamala tilbage på flasken og gav endeligt et solointerview, denne gang til MSNBCs Stephnie Ruhle. Sidste år kom hun for skade at spørge Præsident Joe Biden, der stadig var “sharp as a tack” om hvorfor had-forbrydelser stadig var i stigning, når man nu var sluppet af med den orange årsag, hvilket straks udløste protester fra Bidens sygeplejersker. Om det havde moret Kamala Harris eller ej, lagde Ruhle billet ind på jobbet som hendes første-propagandist, ved hos Bill Maher at forsvare Kamalas manglende evne til at formulere en politik. Vi kender allerede Trump som en trussel mod demokratiet og Harris er ikke Trump, såre simpelt, havde Ruhle argumenteret.

Kamala Harris is not running for perfection. She’s running against Trump. We have two choices. And so there are some things you might not know her answer to. And in 2024, unlike 2016 for a lot of the American people, we know exactly what Trump will do, who he is, and the kind of threat he is to democracy

The interview took place on Wednesday. It wasn’t live, and it wasn’t long — just 25 minutes. Everybody knew going in that it would be a softball interview — friendly, open-ended questions, few if any follow-ups, avoiding any inconvenient details of the vice president’s record. But still, Ruhle asked questions, and Harris (sort of) answered them. And in the text of their exchanges can be found a few bits of information about the vice president’s short-on-content campaign for the nation’s highest office.

“Madam Vice President, you just laid out your economic vision for the future,” Ruhle began. “But still, there are lots of Americans who don’t see themselves in your plans. For those who say, these policies aren’t for me, what do you say to them?” Ruhle was telling Harris to go anywhere she liked. In response, Harris said nothing and used a lot of words to do it. It can be burdensome to include a long, unedited answer in a newsletter, but maybe it’s worth doing it here, just to give you an idea of how to use so many words to say so little. Here is her answer:

“Well, if you are hardworking, if you have the dreams and ambitions and aspirations of what I believe you do, you’re in my plan. I have to tell you, I really love and am so energized by what I know to be the spirit and character of the American people. We have ambition. We have aspirations. We have dreams. We can see what’s possible. We have an incredible work ethic. But not everyone has the access to the opportunities that allow them to achieve those things. But we don’t lack for those things. But not everyone gets handed stuff on a silver platter. And so my vision for the economy — I call it an opportunity economy — is about making sure that all Americans, wherever they start, wherever they are, have the ability to actually achieve those dreams and those ambitions, which include, for middle-class families, just being able to know that their hard work allows them to get ahead, right? I think we can’t and we shouldn’t aspire to have an economy that just allows people to get by. People want to do more than just get by. They want to get ahead. And I come from the middle class. Look, my mother raised my sister and me. She worked hard. She saved up. By the time I was a teenager, she was able to buy our first home. And homeownership for too many people in our country now is elusive. You know, gone is the day of everyone thinking they could actually live the American dream. So part of my vision for the economy is, let’s deal with some of the everyday challenges that people face and address them with commonsense solutions, such as affordable housing.”

KAMALA: “Even before the pandemic, he lost manufacturing jobs by most people’s estimates, at least 200,000. He lost manufacturing plants. Ask the auto workers.”

No human with the possible exception of @justintrudeau has ever been able to create a meaningless concatenation of gibberish as well as @kamalaharris.  She should be studied by neuroscientists, cognitive psychologists, and linguists.  She converses using a form of empty sounds that appear to be words yet they NEVER communicate anything of substance.  In this sense, her lobotomy is a form of brilliance.

The Department of Homeland Security knows of at least 660,000 illegal immigrants at large in the U.S. with criminal records, including 13,000 convicted killers, nearly 16,000 convicted of sexual assault and 56,000 involved with dangerous drugs.

Thousands of other migrants have been charged but not yet convicted of those and other crimes.

They are part of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s “non-detained docket,” a list of more than 7 million illegal immigrants that ICE is supposed to be monitoring as they roam free in the U.S.

Det er derfor hun taber stemmer; “The real struggle for the Harris campaign is young men, all the men, men of color, White men.” Mænd er naturlige beskyttere, men beflitter sig ikke med dagligdagens trakasserier. Nu stander landet i våde og så mobiliserer de stemmesky, tiden er deres. Og der er noget at stemme på, selvom man ikke er faldet for Trumps charme.

Kennedys Make America Healthy Again er et af Trumps stærkeste kort. Joe Rogan, der engang støttede Senator Bernie Sanders og nu ikke vil sige om han så støtter Trump, sætter selv fokus på amerikanernes kost og kobler i kølvandet på Kennedys kampagne også de mange kroniske sygdomme og de mange overvægtige mennesker, med tilsætningsstoffer og mangel på motion. Det er en kampagne, der går rent ind hos alle børnefamilier, som nu kan mærke deres bekymring helt ned på hylderne i supermarkedet og som ved, hvad de skal stemme, for igen at lade deres børn spise trygt igen.

Og Rogan demonstrerer også realistisk syn på den illegale indvandring, i samtale med en af de fire medlemmer fra The All In Podcast, Chamath Palihapitiya. Han støttede i 2020, som de tre andre værter, Joe Biden, men er nu, sammen med David Sacks, sprunget til Trump, bitter af erfaring

ROGAN: “The flying people in and the utilization of an app to fly people in, that seems insane… This incentivized effort to move people into this country illegally will undoubtedly bring in people that you don’t want here: gang members, cartel members, and terrorists. That’s real, and we’ve documented that.”

CHAMATH: “I think that Donald Trump has had a clearer view of this issue for much longer. I think that Kamala has had to shift her position to make herself more palatable to centrists.”

ROGAN: “@elonmusk has talked about this. The real fear is that they’re bringing these people in to give them a clear path to citizenship, which will allow them to vote, and then you’ve essentially bought their vote. They’re giving them EBT cards. They’re giving them housing. They’re giving them things that they’re not giving to veterans and poor people in this country… If you give them the opportunity to vote, they’re going to vote for the party that got them to America.”

Omvendt, så er alle høgene i Washingtons sump, rendt over til Kamala, selv George Walker Bushs vicepræsident Dick Cheney – “the CEO of Halliburton, and then Halliburton got no-bid contracts to rebuild Iraq for billions of dollars” – som blandt støtter af førnævnte Sanders og andre på venstrefløjen indtil for nylig blev betragtet som krigsforbryder. Det er den slags, der gør, at Trumps kampagne citerer lystigt fra Kamala, som kan sige “We just need to move past the failed policies that we have proven don’t work”.

Den forviste Præsident Biden tog forleden igen sin Trump hat på hovedet. “As Vice President, there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do” betroede Biden The View “and so I was able to delegate her responsibility on everything from foreign policy to domestic policy.” Og således blev Harris ‘burdened with what has been’!
