Minutes into Thursday night’s presidential debate, the concerns began gushing into the open.

Yet they had already become increasingly apparent inside Washington’s corridors of power and across the world for months. In interviews, top officials abroad and Democrats said they’ve witnessed other moments where Biden’s behavior concerned them. Some were quickly relieved when Biden appeared to regain his footing. Others were left shaken by the experience. The White House did not immediately provide comment for this story.

European officials had already been expressing worries in private about Biden’s focus and stamina before Thursday’s debate, with some senior diplomats saying they had tracked a noticeable deterioration in the president’s faculties in meetings since last summer. There were real doubts about how Biden could successfully manage a second term but one senior European diplomat said U.S. administration officials denied there was any problem in private discussions.

Officials said that Biden’s performance and focus can vary hugely between meetings and even within a meeting. Two senior European officials cited an EU-U.S. summit last October in Washington where Biden had struggled to follow the discussions. Both said that he stumbled over his talking points at several moments, requiring Secretary of State Antony Blinken to intervene and point out the lines he should use. 

“The reading in Europe is that this has been an unmitigated disaster,” said Nathalie Tocci, director of the Institute of International Affairs in Rome and a former adviser to the EU’s foreign-affairs chiefs, referring to Biden’s attempts to reassure voters worried about his age. European officials and prominent commentators, she added, “have been talking about it. It’s something that has been known, always, that his age is his main Achilles heel.”

Så det er nok Parkinson, hvilket vil forklare hans kognitive reducering, katatone øjeblikke, funktionssving i løbet af døgnet og problemerne med temperamentet. Med 30 års erfaring med medborgere med demens har jeg aldrig tilskrevet teorien om Alzheimers megen vægt, da han gennemfører, uagtet hvor dårligt han klarer sig, både State of the Union og debatten med Trump, uden realitets-udfald, som at slå over i fransk eller bede om regningen. 

Og det er det uhæderlige, når pressen, også herhjemme, taler om Bidens alder. Problemet er aldersrelateret, men det er ikke alder. Det er taskenspil, der skal gøre det muligt at pege på, at Trump også er en gammel svend frem for ‘sharp as a tack’!

Mollie Hemingway minder Fox News om, at ingen kan være overraskede af, hvad vi har kunnet se de seneste fem år

Democrats just overwhelmingly chose this man for their nominee and the media is acting like this doesn’t matter and they’re not confident in him. The media is claiming they were lied to and they are so bad at their jobs they can’t figure out how to deal with liars. Both of these things mean it’s the media that should resign before Joe Biden or anyone else…

Joe Biden mente at det var en god ide at ringe til de resterende loyalister på Morning Joe og uddybe sit behov for neurologer og forlangte, så vidt jeg kunne høre, at tale med Fegelein. CNNs Jake Tapper tog fat i Bidens optræden med Morning Joe og kom frem til den samme pointe som Mollie Hemingway. Jake Tapper! På CNN! Hvilken herlig ny verden vi lever i, her ved Josette Caruso

Tapper played a clip from the MSNBC morning show on CNN’s “The Lead.”

“I’m getting frustrated by the elites in the party, ‘Oh, they know so much more,’” Biden said Monday.

Tapper then commented on the clip, saying Biden is “trying to frame what’s going on right now as the average voters who want him versus the elites of the Democratic Party donors and lawmakers and opinion makers.”

“The reality is that the Democratic elites are mostly late to acknowledge these age and ability issues compared to the rest of the public. The elites have been forced to reckon with it after the debate just 11 days ago,” Tapper said.

Tapper went on to directly quote Biden from the interview Monday morning before suggesting that Biden’s comments may not have been reassuring to his supporters.

“‘The fact of the matter is how can you assure you’re going to be on — on, you know — on your way to go to, you know, work tomorrow? Age — age wasn’t, you know, the idea that I’m too old,’” Tapper said on “The Lead,” quoting Biden from Monday morning. Keep in mind, that sound bite is supposed to be reassuring to those Democratic supporters who have gone wobbly,” Tapper continued. “Many Democratic officials with whom I’ve spoken are worried that President Biden and his family and his inner circle appear to be in complete denial, not just about whatever might be wrong with him, but the state of his candidacy right now.”

Tapper, who co-moderated the first presidential debate between former President Trump and Biden last month, then called out Biden’s team for not hosting a press conference following the lackluster debate performance.

Another complicating element? The Democrats’ “Blitz Primary” idea would land right in the middle of the Olympics. NBC paid $4.38 billion to broadcast the Olympics, and you better believe they will lobby hard against this blitz which could crush their ratings.

Demokrater kæmper derfor for at grænseoverløbere skal have stemmeret, men som Scott Adams siger: “Are the non-citizens who register to vote  automatically at the top of Trump’s future deportation list?” Trump har haft en heldig måned, som det blev sagt på CNN.
